The Creepy Visitors Log

This is going to sound assinine, because it is. lol.

I know it even as I begin to type this.

So with the premium membership, as many of us know, one is able to customize their page with a bunch of extra bells and whistles. One of these options is The Visitor's Log. For those of you who don't have a PM, or don't have it enabled, this is an option that shows you the names and avatars of the last 5 people to visit your page. It updates a lot as people drop by.
  This is an art website. The whole point is that you want pageviews. You want people to stop by. Your watchers, new people, etc etc. I like it. It's interesting.
Often I glance down and see people I recognize ( I'm really good at remembering avatars).  nd then I'm like; " Oh hay! Looky who it is!" . Or I see new people and I check out their pages, because I'm interested in their stuff. Sometimes, it's fun to see if a person has common interest to me or w/e.

However, is this just me.. or has anyone else ever seen an avatar in their visitors log , that is *completely* out of character for the type of people that like your art- so much so that it strikes you as a WTF moment? And you think; " WTF? Why is a person like that here? D: What do they want with me!? @_@ ? Have I offended them? I've been grumpier than usual, haven't I!? "
And then you see them again the next day. And the next.
Then, you click on said avatar, go to their page, and realize there is nothing in their gallery but minotaurs in G-strings with tentacles and Pony porn. Which makes an artist like me wonder.. " o_O Thanks for stopping by, but.. wow.. you are far far from your home, aren't you? Did you take a wrong turn? Cause Ive done that on the internet so many times..."

You  know what else freaked me out once lol? I looked down at the Visitor's Log and all I saw was an ARMY of those little grey non-avatars. I like to call them the Default Nothings o_O.

Before anyone with a Default Nothing gets offended- don't be.  You can tell by the whole idea behind this post that I have strange thoughts sometimes ( though believe it or not, I'm not socially retarded). There is nothing wrong with a Default Nothing. It's just a bit intimidating to see them down there, like a little mini-platoon, waiting for me to blink so they can suck my eyeballs out of my skull.

You know how it is.

And I already pretty much know the answers to all these thoughts lol. I like certain types of art, but I'm pretty open-minded and curious, and sometimes look at peoples stuff that might seem out of character for me. Im sure that happens all the time . There have been times I see something someone says on theForum, think they're funny or smart, and I check out THEIR art.
  I once also misclicked on something that horrifed me by accident. At the same time, I was compelled to check out what type of individual creates said atrocities, and checked it out to sate my morbid curiousity . We've all been there, right? <_<..
..right?

Sooo... I'm sure the answer is for me to disable that widget .

TL'DR ; I think too much about the Visitor's Log.


PS: Just in case.. I'm not usually very serious.  This is a LIGHTHEARTED journal. These thoughts have just crossed my mind and I wondered what other people think xD
