It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

First, sorry if I'm journal spamming this last week. I've written 3 fairly close together, when prior to that I haven't written in a month

No, I'm not pressuring or begging for anyone to buy anything ( but who doesn't need a naked Sephiroth pillow?

.. ). I just think pillows are kinda neat for some reason.

..which is surprising, since my mother was always the type to decorate beds with like, 18 pillows~ you'd think I'd have an aversion to them ( know anyone who does that? They have a bed or couch with like, 20 "decorative pillows? An then when you want to get in bed, you have to remove 18 of them to get to the sleeping pillow?
