Now that I'm through a batch of commissions ( I never heard back from the last person on my list, but it's totally fine) , I have to make some changes. I found last year that one of the problems I had was that for some people, I could not really envision their characters the way I would like. So when I take a new batch, I might have to turn a few people down if after I hear what they want I can't find any inspiration.
This isn't a judgment on people's characters/concepts, I just don't like struggling to do something or avoiding commissions because I can't get into them. It slowed everything up for me ( and I'm pretty slow anyways D: ) I like to do the best I can on each one, so this is just as much for a potential customer as it is for myself.
I hope people understand that.
I will be waiting a little bit before opening a few slots to focus on some art for myself.
I hope people don't mind me doing some different things sometimes. I know a lot of people watch certain artists for reasons, and if someone started drawing, for example, nothing but ponies after they had been drawing zombies for 5 years, that would be hard to take

. I don't anticipate this happening with me, however I know my last painting was probably a bit odd to some of my watchers.
But like many people, I like video games, ghosts and zombies and stuff too

. It's good for any artist to change it up sometimes and be versatile I think. It pushes skill and challenges people to try things in different ways.
It's also fun 8D.
I started back at the gym this week with a friend of mine.
I am soooo sore . It's for health right?
health....

Pewdiepie cracks me up.
But you did the right thing to say it beforehand, so everybody knows
Good luck with your commissions, your art is simply great, no matter what you draw, as long as you have fun with it, it's beautiful
As for your dilemma, I understand you since not everyone has an interesting design, has a poorly written backstory or they just ask WAY too much via the infamous "wall o' text". It's really stressful to do those & even if you do write rules about, they think that money might be above all so rejecting/accepting on a case by case basis makes sense.
