Hmmm...I guess I've learned a lot this year. It's world's better than last year, though I still have so far to go @_@. I must work on my speed :[. I think speed comes with comfort level and confidence though. Both things I have to work on. . There were a few times this year I just wanted to give it up on art tho lol. I admit. Tho in the end, if we give up, that's when you truly stop learning and advancing.
My thoughts here and there;
Jan: "I have to work on faces. And I want things to look more real and less cartoony. How do I paint hair? D8 Or snow? OMG I have no idea what I'm doing Feb: "Yanno, I always liked that Sesshoumaru guy. He's so white and fluffy- still so much wrong this tho : . WHY CANT I PAINTZ? " March: "I've been painting too much clothing lately. This has gotta stahp." Small shitstorm from homophobe ensued in my comments to them. April: I pick most of my shit apart, but I actually still don't mind this one! June: "Y U NO finish this anime series?? ( lol I bought thos enovels recently) September: Well that one was certainly my greatest crowd pleaser so far
I know this is a bit old but I saw it in passing just now and I thought to myself that you should start selling calenders to go with all the other loot you're raking in the dosh with XD. Seriously though, I googled that shit and came across the blog of this photographer who uses a site called Lulu to make and sell calenders of his landscape photographs. [link] You can offer the finished projects in your shop.
but if you think I'm making a lot of money... no. You are mistaken :[. Out of 10k people, maybe only 30 buy somethings. I only get $2-$4 per item I sell, the websites make the most of artists. So do the math and I make barely anything on selling art of course :[.
I have no idea how much money you're making, it sucks that the website takes so much from you. It's a pity there's not a better way for artists to make a living without being taxed to shit.
Yeah. On another note, yesterday I accidentally found out just how much My Little Pony porn there is on deviantart....I wish I hadn't ;_; My poor little brain may never recover.
You are amazing. Each time I see a new drawing from you, I dream that one day I will be able to bring people as much delight looking at my works, as you do. Thank you very much for your work and hope to see more for you in 2013!
